1931-1950 "King's Theater Weekly" printed and free to reader by Entertainment Theater from the first issue on March 31, 1931 to the (non-consecutive) issue 222 on June 30, 1935; "Entertainment Semi-monthly" from the first issue on October 15, 1938 The issue continues until the 25th issue in January 1950; "Cinema Herald Monthly" February, March, April and May 1950; Total 93 volumes.
This batch of film publications printed by the King's Theater may be the largest batch discovered at a time. It provides very rich and rare information for studying the performance of Western movies (mainly American) in Hong Kong from the 1930s to the early post-war period. each volume is basically in good condition except for some damage. 1931-1950年由娛樂戲院印贈之 "娛樂戲院週刊" 由1931年3月31日第1期至 (不連期)1935年6月30日第222期; "娛樂半月刊" 由1938年10月15日第一期連期至 1950年1月第25期; "娛樂月刊" 1950年２月号, 3月号, 4月号及5月号. 全部共93册. 這批由娛樂戲院印贈的電影刊物, 可能是目前單一次發現為數最多的一批, 為研究1930年代至戰後初期西方電影 (主要是美國) 在香港公演的情況, 提供了十分豐富及難得素材, 各册除了少部份有破損外, 保存基本良好. 敬請預覽.
