Incoming Mail
Hong Kong: 1868 (19 Apr.) entire letter to Yokohama "pr New York" bearing 1863-71 8c. bright orange cancelled by "B62", with "4" rate mark in red ink plus a fine strike of "hong kong/paid all" code "A" c.d.s. in red alongside, the flap (which opens for display) with a fine strike of Siemssen & Co. dated handstamp; light diagonal bend. An early date for the Hong Kong Paid All datestamp (the earliest date recorded by Proud).

An interesting letter bearing the Paid All datestamp, which should only have been applied on trans-Pacific mail to U.S.A., it is possible that the ship's name led to this confusion
