1873-74 two wrappers from Carlowitz & Co, Canton to Lyons, with 1873 (6 Aug.) "per French Mail via Marseilles" bearing 24c. green tied by "B62" with "PD" and Suez transit alongside, the reverse with Hong Kong and Lyon (19.9) c.d.s.; 1874 (Sept.) wrapper "via Brindisi" bearing 2c. and 30c. tied by "B62" with faint transit alongside, the reverse bearing Hong Kong (12.9) and Lyon (24.10) c.d.s. A good pair of covers, possibly carried privately to Hong Kong, one paying for the premium route. (2 covers)
