Ship Letter: 1863 (4 Aug.) entire letter from Manila to Batavia "Via Hong Kong" bearing a light strike of Russell & Sturgis, Manila company oval, a light strike of straight-line "ship letter" in serif letters, Hong Kong Paid (10.8) c.d.s. in red and rate marks "15" (cuartos) in black ink (Manila) and "4" (cents) in red crayon (Hong Kong), the flap with a superb strike of Hong Kong c.d.s.; some light paper ageing, otherwise fine. Rare
