1941 (20 Dec.) part printed air mail envelope from "Java-China-Japan Lijn" in Batavia to Hong Kong "via Rangoon" bearing 60c. franking tied by despatch c.d.s., "Eo.C." circle in red, censor seal at side, two boxed Chinese handstamps and a fine strike of the boxed "detained in hongkong/by japanese/from december 1941 to september 1945" in purple; the reverse with Canton c.d.s. and final Hong Kong arrival 1946 (25 May); top corner of envelope missing. Very scarce incoming detained mail which was held in Canton before delivery to Hong Kong after the Occupation
