1901 (22 Feb.) printed Hong Kong 1c. stationery card to the Commanding Officer 1st Sikhs Regiment bearing a good strike of the single-ring type 3 c.d.s., boxed "postage due/ annas" (type 10) overstruck by a fine strike of the large, boxed "postage cancelled by/chine a.f. base office 22 feb 10" (type 14) in mauve. The Field Controller's Office used the Hong Kong stationery card even though it was not valid for postage but should have passed free of postage. Fine and scarce
