1857 (25 Nov.) stampless envelope addressed to Albert Markham, H.M.S. Camilla, "Fou Chow Fou or elsewhere", "Via Marseilles" bearing Mentone despatch c.d.s., "P.P." in red and transit c.d.s., the reverse bearing Maritta and Hong Kong (15.1) c.d.s. A good cover.
H.M.S. 'Camilla' was lost in September 1860 on the China Station (off the coast of Japan) with the loss of all hands. By this time, Albert Markam was then sailing on a different ship. He later designed the flag of New Zealand
