'Kent' and endorsed "Compulsory registered Tax 70 cents" with Hong Kong registered despatch c.d.s. and blue on white registered label, marked "Written to Mrs W.A.F. Hawkins, Singapore" and in red ink "Opened by O.O.N. Kent 22/11/38" and redirected to 'Westcott', the reverse bearing Hong Kong Postage Due 10c. (7) tied by Victoria c.d.s. and manuscript "Received from Kent, open, contents checked & forwarded to England herewith ..." with a superb strike of dated oval "commanding officer/h.m.s. 'westcott'" (22.11) struck in dark purple. A little roughly opened and soiled
