Egypt: 1869 (8 Nov.) envelope (flap missing) to Cairo by "P.M.I. Packet 'Tigre'" bearing horizontal pair of 24c. green just tied by "B62" with "2/-" rate mark in red ink and French packet datestamp (9.11) and small boxed handstamp in red; a faint strike of the despatch c.d.s. is on the reverse. Signed by Peter Holcombe. A little soiled but a rare destination from Hong Kong (thought to be only two CC covers to Egypt)

British packet to Alexandra only was 24c. per ½ ounce; 25 July 1866 to 27 December 1869
