Chang Hwa Bank, Taiwan, a share certificate for 5 shares of 250 yen, Taisho Year 14 (1925), serial number 0012, orange/brown, vignettes of Yu Shan and TaiChung shrine at left and right, printed signature of the bank's founder Wu Ju Hsiang at left,
PMG 45, rust small tear. The bank was founded by Wu Ju Hsiang with local businessmen and landlords in 1905 with an initial capital of 220,000 Japanese yen, making it the first native Taiwanese bank. After WWII, with the support of local funds, shareholders were able to redeem nearly all shares unlike for other Japanese backed banks. An example of the 50 yuan share is displayed in the Taiwan Stock Museum, and cancelled examples are held in the Chang Hwa Bank museum. Currently the only piece known in private hands. Extremely rare and important to Taiwan history


大正十四年台灣彰化銀行股票伍股貳佰伍拾圓,編號0012,橙色/棕色,左邊和右邊分別有玉山和台中神社的插圖,左邊是銀行創始人吳汝祥的印刷簽名,PMG評 45,有鏽,小裂。該銀行由吳汝祥與台中鄉紳於1905年創立,成為台灣第一家民間資本銀行,初始集資為220,000日元。二戰後,與其他日資銀行不同,在本地資金的支持下,股東能夠兑現幾乎所有股票。 台灣股票博物館有同款伍拾圓股票展出,也是其館唯一的彰化銀行股票,其他已註銷的例子均藏於在彰化銀行博物館,此枚是目前所知唯一一件私人藏品,千載難逢,對台灣歷史極有意義的一枚
