1947 Hong Kong RPPC, the photo shows the unfinished Chureito Pagoda during the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong. This pagoda was destroyed by the Hong Kong government at 4:29 pm on February 26, 1947, after the liberation of Hong Kong.
The date and time when this postcard was sent to the UK coincides with the date and time of the demolition. It is believe it was done deliberately by someone with good intentions at the time. good to fine, rare.


1947年香港照片版明信片, 照片內容為香港日佔時期所未建造完成的忠靈塔, 查此塔於香港光復後的1947年2月26日下午4時29分被香港政府爆破拆毀. 而此明信片寄出往英國之日期時間即與拆毀的日期時間相吻合. 相信為當時的有心人故意而為. 罕見.
