1940 second impression of "China in Peace and War", written by Madame Chiang Kai-Shek. Published by Hurst & Blackett in London. Hardcover edition. The words "Chiang Soong Meiling" are stamped in gold on the lower right corner of the cover. There are some illustrations in the book. The entire text is in English. It should be noted that this book was given to an American friend, Mr. John Oxenham, by Mrs. Chiang’s cousin, Mrs. Ching Lin Hsia (Ms. Niu Huizhen). It is in good condition and worthy of collection by book lovers.
"Note: Ching Lin Hsia(1896-1993), named Tianchang, was born in Yin County, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. He was an international law scholar, educator and diplomat in the Republic of China, educator and diplomat; Niu Huizhen (1900-1999), a native of Jiangsu,father is Niu Shangzhou, and mother is Ni Guiqing. She is biological sister with Song Jiashu’s (father of Song Meiling)’s wife, Ni Guizhen.


1940年第二版 "China in Peace and War", 蔣宋美齡著. 倫敦Hurst & Blackett 出版, 精裝版, 封面右下角以燙金印有 "蔣宋美齡" 字樣, 書內有插圖若干, 全書內文為英文. 要注意的是, 此書由蔣夫人的表妹夏晉麟夫人 (牛惠珍女士) 贈送美國友人Mr. John Oxenham. 保存尚佳, 值得愛書人珍藏. 《註: 夏晉麟 (1896-1993), 字天長, 浙江省寧波府鄞縣人, 中華民國國際法學者, 教育家及外交官; 牛惠珍 (1900-1999), 江蘇人, 父親牛尚周, 母親倪桂清, 而牛尚周的夫人倪桂清與宋嘉澍 (宋美齡之父) 之夫人倪桂珍是親姊妹.》
