1856 (15 Apr.) entire letter from Manila (H.M. Consul. at Manila) to Sweden via Hong Kong, showing small "Paid/at/Hong Kong" Crowned circle in red with matching light "Hong Kong" double-arc d.s. (9.6), sent on the Swedish packet "Jenny Lind", with endorsed 'Via marseille" (28.7), rated '1 ¼oz.' in blue and charged '2fr' with framed "Ystad/4.8.1856" h.s., showing postage due unframed '1 Rdr. 20sk' in black adjacent.
Text from the Consul notes the 'Jenny Lind' is the only Swedish steamer to pass this year and no Norwegian vessels.
A very early cover written from Manila to Sweden and the only known sent by Swedish steamer.
