1897 (8 Jan.) registered envelope to Vathy, Samos bearing French China 25c. pair cancelled by 'Shang-Hai/ Chine' double ring d.s., with framed 'R' h.s. in red adjacent, via Hong Kong (12.1) and Haiphong (16.1), sennt by French paquebot with octagonal 'Ligne N Paq Fr No.2' on front, on the French packet "Saghalian" with Port Said and French Post Office Alexandria (18.2) and Smyrne with French Post Office in Greece Vathy/ Samos (24.2) on reverse in blue. Outstanding item of destination mail from French mail.


1897年上海寄希臘薩摩斯掛號封1件，貼法國客郵25分2枚，銷上海1月8日法國客郵戳，經香港，海防，埃及塞得港，亞歷山大港，土耳其中轉，有多地中轉戳，及薩摩斯2月24日到達戳，郵路清晰，保存完好
