Ta Shing Bank was established by the Chinese Merchants Steam Navigation Company (current days China Merchants Group) in 1872 by Viceroy Li HongZhang and a group of overseas Chinese merchants. With the government backing and capital of 2 million dollars, they were even able to issue 1, 5 and 10 dollars banknotes in 1912. All Qing dynasty issue share certificates rare - this even more so with government backing; one of the pinnacle piece of Chinese share certificates. Historically incredibly important. Not to be missed by any advanced Qing dynasty collectors or historians.
