Specimen Type HK3: 2c. brown, 18c. dull lilac, 24c. yellowish green and 48c. soft rose, each in a block of four, large part original gum showing the typical gum streaking; 24c. with tiny surface abrasion and other trivial imperfections. A highly desirable group as these blocks are thought to be unique.

The consistancy of the spacing and quality of the printing indicates that this overprint was not produced in Hong Kong. It is found on the no watermark stamps and the 4c., 6c. and 30c. of the second issue. It is believed that these are produced by Somerset House as Inland Revenue reference copies
