United States of America, [NGC AU Details] gold $20, 1907, 'High Relief', mintage 12,367,
scratches. #341692-001. This first issue of the iconic Saint Gaudens Double Eagle gold $20 was created with strong support from President Theodore Roosevelt who detested the existing designs of US coinage at the time. Saint-Gaudens was a sculptor by trade but it was difficult to showcase all his skills with a single strike from the coin die. With the circulated coins, some intricate details were omitted, and in the end a very limited number high relief examples were produced to satisfy the president. Considered to be one of the most beautiful American coins ever issued, though this example has some scratches, much of its details remain. Just a lovely example


1907年美國20元高浮雕金幣，限量鑄造12，367枚，NGC AU Details（有刮痕）。當時小狄奧多·羅斯福總統對美國貨幣的設計感到不滿而大力支持著名雕塑家聖·高登斯的新設計。受制於流通貨幣需要量產的關係，部分新設計的圖紋細節需要捨棄，而最後僅有一批限量打鑄的「高浮雕版」面世以滿足羅斯福總統對美感的不懈追求，此版別更被冠為美國硬幣史上最美的。此品有雖然有些刮痕，狀態依然甚佳，壓印周正，服飾華美，紋路清晰
