Zambia 1964 (24 Oct.) 2/- block of twenty-four (6x4) from the foot of a sheet with plate number, the lower right corner example (blunt top left corner) removed, all with black omitted, fine. With a normal single for comparison. Pierron NR206MCa, £5,400; unlisted in S.G. Photo Estimate £ 2,500-3,000 Note: Affecting hair and face detail, the error was found in an auction lot of 1960s Zambian blocks and sheets and re-sold soon after at an 11 April 2009 Tony Lester auction. The error, which occurred on sheet number 059, isn´t immediately obvious without a normal for comparison explaining perhaps why it took 45 years from issue to be spotted
