South Africa 1996 (25 Jan.) Giant Girdle-Tailed Lizard 5c., a lower left corner block of fifteen (3x5) with one showing magenta omitted and three others with varying degrees of omission, fine. Pierron SA1612MCA, £2,500+; SACC 825a; unlisted in S.G. Photo Estimate £ 1,800-2,200 Note: The error, which causes the lizard and rock to appear greenish rather than brown, occurred when foreign matter got between the magenta plate and the paper. Most stamps from the bottom two rows of columns three to ten of a sheet were affected.
