New Zealand 1960-66 Pictorials 2d. vertical pair, the upper stamp with black omitted, the lower with trace of black at foot, fine. With normal for comparison. Pierron NZ1566MCa, £450+; C.P. O3a(Z); S.G. 783a, £450+. Photo Estimate £ 200-250 Note: The missing black results in the loss of country name, inscription and shading detail on some of the leaves and branches. The error is known in two states – with the remaining colours in registration, and with an up and right shift of yellow (the latter probably from a plate 2–2–1–2 printing). An example exists on cover with a Wanganui cancel dated 28 October 1960 provenance: Sir Gawaine Baillie, February 2006
