Malta 1965-70 Issue 10d. complete pane of 60 from Plate 1A/2A with gold (centre) omitted, three light horizontal folds, fine. Pierron MA679MCa, £19,500; S.G. 339ca, £19,500. Photo Estimate £ 8,000-10,000 Note: The missing gold results in the loss of the inscription from the centre of the design. Two gold ink plates were used for the printing of the stamps, the right most plate number relating to the centre detail. In addition to affecting a complete sheet, the error is known to have affected the top row of two sheets due to a massive down shift of gold.
