Malaysia Selangor 1977 Butterflies 10c. horizontal strip of four with margin at right, the first stamp with black omitted and the adjoining stamp with partial omission, fine. Pierron MS310MCa, £200+; S.G. 155a, unpriced Estimate £ 80-100 Note: The missing black results in the loss of value, inscription, outline around the country name, and detail from the butterfly and flower. Two black plates were used for printing – one for the main part of the design and one for the country name, portrait and state emblem – which explains why only the main part of the design is affected. The error occurred between columns four and seven of a pane; columns three and eight being partially affected.
