Channel Islands Guernsey 1969-70 4d. Guernsey Lily booklet pane with yellow omitted, unmounted mint. With normal for comparison. Pierron GU36MCa, £750; S.G. 18ab, £600. Photo Estimate £ 220-280 Note: The missing yellow results in the loss of colour from the lily´s filament and causes the petals to appear in a bright lilac shade. The error is known to have come from 2s booklets with white covers and text in black depicting a trooper from the Royal Guernsey Cavalry on horseback (containing 3 x 4d, 2 x 5d and 2 x 1d). However, it´s possible the error also came from any or all of five other similar booklets (differing in composition, text colour, or cover image)
