Wilde´ - A large quantity of group and individual photographs (7) Estimate £ 240-280 4736290 Regimental Quarter-Master Sergeant James Arthur Wilde, born July 1896; enlisted as a Boy in the 2nd Battalion, York and Lancaster Regiment, 8.8.1910; Private, 28.7.1914; appointed Acting Sergeant, 22.12.1915; serves with the 3rd Battalion on the Western Front from 5.12.1917 (wounded with a fractured thumb, 25.7.1918); serves with the Regiment in Mesopotamia from 19.9.1919 and present throughout the North West Persia Campaign, 10.8-31.12.1920; Sergeant, 1.5.1920; serves with the Regiment in India from 13.11.1921; Company Quarter-Master Sergeant, 10.8.1922; retires 27.7.1935 after 21 years with the Colours; awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, 6.5.1952.
