Three: Lieutenant G.G. Knight, Queen´s Own Dorset Yeomanry, Late City of London Yeomanry, Died of Wounds 17.6.1918 1914-15 Star (2503 Pte. G.G. Knight. C. Of Lond. Yeo.); British War and Victory Medals (Lieut. G.G. Knight.), good very fine or better (3) Estimate £ 300-350 Lieutenant George Gordon Knight, born Clapham, London, 1892; educated at Churcher´s College, Petersfield, Hampshire; enlisted as Private City of London Yeomanry, 5.9.1914; served with the Regiment during the Great War as part of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force, 11.4.1915-13.8.1915 and as part of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, 14.8.1915-23.9.1915; commissioned Second Lieutenant 3/1st Queen´s Own Dorset Yeomanry, 19.8.1916; he was serving as a Lieutenant with the 1st Battalion in Palestine when he received a gun shot wound to the abdomen, 17.6.1918, he was admitted to the 104th Indian Combined Field Ambulance, however the wound proved fatal as he died the same day; Knight is buried in the Jerusalem War Cemetery, Israel.
