Medal, silver, unnamed, in Elkington, London, case of issue - The recipient´s Record of Service Booklet and Certificate - The recipient´s Corps of Commissionaires Certificate, named to Alfred Griffiths, and dated 8.9.1956 - Four photographs, including three group photographs, of the recipient (4) Estimate £ 300-350 4923 Private Alfred Griffiths, born Stepney, London, December 1878; enlisted in the Essex Regiment, September 1897; served with the Regiment in India, January 1899-February 1901; served in South Africa during the Boer War, 7.12.1901- 15.8.1902; and in Somaliland, 6.7.1903- 28.1.1905; discharged 29.1.1915 after 17 years and 142 days with the Colours. Approximately 42 Africa General Service Medals with Somaliland 1902-04 clasp to the Essex Regiment. A replacement Queen´s South Africa Medal is also listed as being issued.
