Naval General Service 1793-1840, one clasp, Syria (John Clay.), edge bruising, therefore nearly very fine Estimate £ 400-450 John Clay served as Private Royal Marines in H.M.S. Bellerophon on and off the coast of Syria, 1840; one other man of this name appears on the Admiralty Claimants List and his entitlement is ´Trafalgar´, at which battle he served as a Boy 1st Class in H.M.S.
