Sierra Leone Incoming Mail 1894 (4 Aug.) India 2a.6p. envelope, uprated with 1/2a. green and 2a. blue (2), registered from Bassein, Burma "via Brindisi" to the Cable Steamer "Duplex" c/o the Eastern Telegraph Co., showing Bassein c.d.s. and registration h.s. and London Registered oval d.s. (3.9), upon arrival forwarded "via Madeira" to San Thôme and showing, on reverse, Bassein (4.8), Rangoon (6.8), Sea Post Office (17.8), Liverpool Registered (3.9), Freetown (18.9) and Funchal (1.11) d.s., marked "Returned from San Thôme 16/1 94"" and with a further Freetown arrival c.d.s. (16.11) on reverse; a little foxed in places though colourful and full of character. Photo Estimate £ 150-200
