Sierra Leone 1897 (22 Nov.) envelope registered to France, bearing 1897 "2 1/2d." on 6d. dull purple and green marginal singles (S.G. Types 8 and 12, both with surcharges misplaced to base with lower line of surcharge appearing in the margin) placed sideways and each cancelled with c.d.s., showing "R" in oval h.s., Freetown, Liverpool (8.12) and London (9.12) Registered oval d.s., Paris arrival c.d.s.
