Niger Coast Protectorate Opobo River 1897 (27 Sept.) envelope "Per S.S. Axim" registered to Nova Scotia, bearing 1897-98 2d. lake and marginal 2 1/2d. deep bright blue cancelled with three "opobo river" Code A c.d.s. in purple, the 2 1/2d. additionally tied by oval-framed "ar" h.s., the reverse with Liverpool Registered oval d.s. (25.10) and Halifax c.d.s. (7.11); the envelope with flap missing and with small faults at top though an attractive and unusual item. S.G. 68, 69a.
