Niger Coast Protectorate Old Calabar 1894 (28 Nov.) envelope registered to London, bearing 1892-94 1d. lilac pair, 2d. green and carmine and 1893 (Dec.) "half penny." (S.G. Type 4) in green on 2 1/2d. purple on blue, all neatly cancelled with "old calabar" squared-circle d.s. with another superb strike below, showing large "R" h.s. additionally tying the provisional, Old Calabar (28.11) and Liverpool (14.1) Registered oval d.s., all on face, London c.d.s. (14.1) on reverse; envelope with central vertical crease well clear of the adhesives, otherwise fine. A rare and colourful franking. S.G. 2, 3, 11. Photo Estimate £ 1,500-1,800
