Niger Coast Protectorate Bonny River 1893 (7 June) 2d. H2 size registered envelope, uprated with Great Britain 1887-92 2 1/2d. purple on blue in combination with 1892-94 1/2d. vermilion (2), 1d. lilac (2) and 2d. green and carmine, to England, all cancelled with "bonny river" Code C c.d.s., two further strikes, Liverpool Registered oval d.s. (12.7) and Rock Ferry, Birkenhead arrival c.d.s. (13.7); some gum staining around the adhesives, otherwise fine and attractive. A rare and colourful combination franking just after the name of the Protectorate was changed on 13 May 1893. S.G. Z13, 1-3. Photo Estimate £ 1,000-1,200
