The Oil Rivers Protectorate Stamps of Great Britain used in the Oil Rivers Protectorate Bonny 1892 (20 Aug.) envelope to Scotland, marked "Stamps not procur(able)" and bearing 1887-92 2 1/2d. purple on blue cancelled by a partially fine strike of the "oil rivers protectorate/bonny" triple-oval d.s. (Sacher Type 7, S.G. Type Z1) with a further small part strike alongside, Paid Liverpool Br. Packet c.d.s. (11.10) below, Glasgow c.d.s. (11.10) on reverse; the envelope with some faults, including the reduction of much of the address, which has affected the second strike of the datestamp, however very rare. S.G. Z2.
