The Royal Niger Company´s Territories 1888-99 Handstruck Stamps Burutu "the royal niger company,/chartered & limited./post office/burutu." double-framed d.s. in seriffed letters. Sacher Type 10, S.G. Type 4 1899 (3 Dec.) unstamped envelope to Walmer, marked "On Active Service No Stamps WG" and showing, on reverse, a fine strike of the datestamp in black for 20 December, Deal squared-circle d.s. (17.1) and Gibraltar c.d.s. (24.1), redirected to Chatham and again to H.M.S. Juno at Gibraltar, incorrectly charged "2d/620", cancelled "620" in oval of bars and then correctly charged "1d/620", forwarded via the Inland Branch with "charge not paid/1b. no 2" h.s. in violet with manuscript "T 2/10" in blue crayon and "1d" h.s. alongside "t/l" h.s.; small corner fault though most unusual and full of character.
