The Royal Niger Company´s Territories 1888-99 Handstruck Stamps Burutu "the royal niger company,/chartered & limited./post office/burutu." double-framed d.s. in seriffed letters. Sacher Type 10, S.G. Type 4 1898 (13 Nov.) double rate envelope (200x95mm., slightly truncated) to England, bearing 1887-92 2 1/2d. purple on blue vertical pair cancelled with manuscript "Burutu (?) 13.11.98", Paid Liverpool Br. Packet c.d.s. (5.12) at left, the reverse with two "r.n.c/c.l." red wax seals and Sheffield arrival c.d.s. (6.12); the envelope with some soiling and traces of light foxing though most unusual.
