The Royal Niger Company´s Territories 1888-99 Handstruck Stamps Akassa "the royal niger company chartered & limited/akassa" triple-oval d.s. Sacher Type 1, S.G. Type 3 1889 (2 June) envelope to London, showing a fine strike with date in manuscript and tying G.B. 1887-92 6d. deep purple on red vertical pair each cancelled "466" on arrival in Liverpool, also showing Paid Liverpool Br. Packet c.d.s. (12.7) and with London c.d.s. (12.7) on reverse. The only recorded use of this mark with manuscript date cancelling stamps. S.G. Z7. Photo Estimate £ 1,000-1,200 provenance: Col. J.R.
