Lagos 1899 (4 Oct.) envelope registered to England, bearing 1884-86 1d. rose-carmine pair and 1887-1902 5d. dull mauve and chestnut cancelled with oval of bars, showing manuscript "R" in blue crayon, "R" in oval, Liverpool Registered oval d.s. (29.10) and London Registered hooded d.s. (30.10) in violet, the reverse (roughly opened) with despatch and Thornton Heath arrival c.d.s. (30.10); an attractive franking, 1/2d. overpaid.
