Gold Coast Incoming Mail 1884 (22 Aug.) blue linen-backed envelope (226x102mm.) from Glasgow "Per S.S. ´Africa´ via Liverpool" to Cape Coast Castle, "8" accountancy mark in red crayon and bearing 1884 3d. lilac, 5d. green and 1/- green pair neatly cancelled with "159" duplex; one 1/- with a small corner crease, otherwise fine with the stamps of good colour and a rare high rate "lilac and green" franking.
