Gold Coast Axim 1884 (5 Mar.) unstamped envelope to London, used during a stamp shortage period, accountancy "9" and "1/-" in maroon crayon indicating a 1 1/2oz. letter (apparently incorrectly) and showing "Postage Prepaid" in red ink, two "axim" Code A c.d.s. (Type 2) and Paid Liverpool Br. Packet c.d.s. (12.4), all on face, London c.d.s. (12.4) on reverse; a fraction soiled though scarce used during a stamp shortage period. Photo Estimate £ 200-250
