Canada, "3" accountancy mark in red crayon and bearing 1880-81 CC comb perf. 4d. pale brown (perf. fault at top) neatly cancelled with "gambia/b/paid" c.d.s. in red and showing Paid Liverpool Br. Packet c.d.s. (22.8) at foot, the reverse with a further despatch c.d.s., Chatham (4.9) and arrival (5.9) c.d.s. Attractive and a rare destination for mail from Gambia at this time. S.G. 16.
