Benin 1886 printed envelope endorsed "Akyway", addressed to Paris with "gravesend ship-letter" and squared circle "gravesend" datestamp of 14 Dec. 1886, red "ship-letter london" of the same date, marked "50" in blue and "100" in red crayon, on arrival taxed by France 1881-92 Postage Due 1f. reddish brown with triangular cancellation; the envelope with some faults but nevertheless attractive and a very rare early letter.
