x South Australia Official Stamps 1897 (12 May) OPSO envelope (slightly truncated at left) registered from Adelaide to Birmingham, bearing an extraordinary six colour franking of S.G. Type O2 1/2d. (2), 2 1/2d. pair, 4d., 6d. (2), 1/- and 2/- all cancelled with squared-circle d.s., showing "R" in oval h.s., London and Birmingham Registered d.s., found open in transit and sealed with "Found Open and Officially Sealed" labels; a few small faults though a rare and impressive high value Official franking.
