Byzantine Empire, Constantine IV (AD 668-685), AR Hexagram, Constantinople, armoured bust three-quarters facing right, holding spear and shield, rev. cross potent on globe above three steps, between standing figures of Heraclius and Tiberius (Sear 1170; MIB 67), very fine, Alexius I (AD 1081-1118), Billon aspron trachy, Constantinople, seated figure of Christ facing, rev. bust of Alexius facing, wearing crown and holding cruciform sceptre and cross on globe (DOC IV, pl.V, 25; Sear 1170), very fine, together with miscellaneous Byzantine bronzes (19), including Anonymous folles (6), Justinian I folles (3), a trachy of Constantine Asen, and others, as well as two 1 Nomisma weights, both with N on obverse and plain reverses (Bendall 103 and a variety with circular devices at ends of uprights) , fair to almost very fine (23) Estimate £ 150-200
