Rif.); King´s South Africa 1901-02, two clasps (2459 Clr:-Serjt: F. Graham. Rl: Irish Rifles.); Army Long Service & G.C., E.VII.R. (2459 C. Sjt: F. Graham. Rl. Irish Rif.), pawn broker´s mark to edge at 4 o´clock, polished, good fine or better (3) Estimate £ 200-240 2459 Colour-Sergeant Frank Graham, born Clogher, County Tyrone; joined Royal Irish Rifles, 1889; Colour-Sergeant 1899; was serving with the 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Rifles when he was taken prisoner of war at Reddersburg, 3/4.4.1900, as part of a column of 400 men under Captain McWhinnie. The British troops were captured by a force of 2,000 Boers under the command of de Wet. British casualties were 10 killed and 37 wounded; Graham was discharged 25.2.1910, after 21 years service with the Colours.
