Tipple.´, with integral gold lapel bar, nearly very fine, scarce Estimate £ 80-100 The Snowdown Colliery, the first commercial pit in Kent, located between Dover and Canterbury, was begun in 1907, with the first coal brought to the surface in 1912. During the sinking of the pit there were a number of disasters, and this medal was produced to recognize bravery on those occasions.
