Military General Service 1793-1814, two clasps, Martinique, Guadaloupe (Patk. Skelly, 63rd Foot.), very fine, scarce Estimate £ 900-1,100 Private Patrick Skelly, born Kellyshea, Longford; served with the 63rd Foot, 1807-1823. Mullen´´s published transcription of medal roll gives recipient´´s surname as ´´Skilly´´, however this is at variance with both the details on the medal and indeed the name given by recipient´´s Service Papers. Approximately 60 Military General Service Medals claimed by the Regiment. Provenance: Glendining 1953 and 1955 Phillips Collection 1965
