Naval General Service 1793-1840, two clasps, Lissa, Pelagosa 29 Novr 1811 (Samuel Hill.), light contact marks to obverse, otherwise good very fine Estimate £ 3,000-3,500 Samuel Hill is listed by the published transcription of roll as entitled to ´´Lissa´´ clasp only. Samuel Hill, however, is confirmed on the Admiralty Claimants List as Boy Third Class in H.M.S. Active at Lissa and with the same Rate in H.M.S. Unite at Pelagosa. He is noted as ´´Run from Tenedos 15 June 1812 not allowed´´. This note was subsequently by-passed which is evidenced by the same reference number ´´49/2´´ against each claim, the entirely as issued two clasp medal as per clasp lists and the "2nd East London" Postal Area of despatch from the same lists.
