x Indian Stamps used in the Straits Settlements Straits Settlements Bisects 14a. rate to the United Kingdom 1859 (Sept.) entire from Singapore to Glasgow, marked "Via Marseilles", bearing 1855 4a. black on blue glazed paper single and diagonal bisect and 8a. carmine on blue glazed paper, all clearly tied by "B/172" obliterator and showing, on reverse, light "singapore/p.o." double-ring d.s. in red and arrival datestamp (17.10); the two 4a. just crossed at top by fold.
