Stork, P.O., R.N.); British War and Victory Medals (217119 H. Stork. P.O. R.N.); Naval Long Service & G.C., G.V.R., 1st ´Admiral´s bust´ type (21119 H. Stork. C.P.O. H.M.S. Victory.); Italy, Kingdom, Messina Earthquake Medal 1908, silver, unnamed as issued, light contact marks overall, very fine (6) Estimate £ 280-320 217119 Chief Petty Officer Harry Stork, born Marshwood, Dorset, 1886; joined the Royal Navy as Boy 2nd Class, 1904; service included in H.M.S. Philomel, 31.1.1908-25.7.1909, during which time he participated in the rescue operations after the Messina Earthquake, 1908, and was one of the men from the Navy who landed from the ships to give assistance and in the blockade of the Somali coast in connection with the operations there; service during the Great War included in H.M.S.´´s Victory, Excellent and Halcyon (L.S. & G.C. 18.1.1922). A duplicate A.G.S. with this clasp was issued to Stork.
