Army of India 1799-1826, short hyphen reverse die type, one clasp, Nepaul (Chas. Collinson, 24th. Foot), officially engraved, India, minor edge bruising, suspension claw re-affixed, scratch to obverse field, therefore good fine Estimate £ 1,400-1,600 Corporal Charles Collinson served with the Regiment in the Peninsula War, and was present at Talavera, Fuentes d´´Onor, Ciudad Rodrigo, Salamanca, Vittoria, Pyrenees, and Toulouse, and claimed his Military General Service Medal with seven clasps; served in Captain Meacham´´s Company during the Nepaul Campaign, 1814-16.
